The Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, AAMP, was founded and officially incorporated in 1974 to serve as the voice and advocate for the multifamily industry in southwestern Pennsylvania. Today, AAMP has grown to over 200 companies comprised of apartment builders, developers, owners, managers, investors, financial institutions, suppliers, subcontractors, and utilities working in the multi-family housing industry.  AAMP was born from the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, BAMP.  If you desire to be a member of both of these associations, and receive the benefits provided through these groups, you may still do so by joining our parent organization, BAMP.  Members of BAMP, who are also a member of AAMP, will receive a discount in their AAMP dues as a dual member of both organizations.

AAMP’s primary purpose remains as it has from the beginning, to promote the common interests of the members who are engaged in the construction, ownership and/or management of multi-family housing and to provide information and education about the industry to its members, while promoting multifamily living to the public.   Over its 40 years of existence, the association and members have been a positive influence on behalf of the industry by advocating pro-housing initiatives while promoting public policy actions that would enhance investment, sustainability and growth of the multifamily housing industry.

The Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh is an equal opportunity trade organization and adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal laws with regard to its membership, employment, and all other activities.
